Dr. Ben Akers

Dr. Ben Akers is the chief content officer at the Augustine Institute, which serves the formation of Catholics through academic and parish programs. He oversees FORMED.org, the premier Catholic streaming service, the Amen App, the free Catholic prayer and meditation app, and the Word of Life K–8 Curriculum Project. He is also an associate professor of theology at the Augustine Institute Graduate School of Theology teaching classes on Scripture, catechesis, and Christian discipleship. He and his wife were FOCUS missionaries in the early days of the apostolate, serving at the University of Northern Colorado, Carroll College, University of Denver, and the University of Colorado-Boulder (2000–2004).
